Privacy policy

This website is operated by London Cycling Campaign (registered charity no. 1115789).

The purpose of the site is to enable members of the public to help improve cycling in London through the maintenance of a major new database of all cycling infrastructure and assets. All data submitted through this website is used solely for that purpose.

The site requires a name and verified e-mail address so that we can ensure that submissions are known to be from a human.

Your name and e-mail will not be used for any uses other than the specific purpose of associating a user with submissions to the database, and for review of those submissions by LCC staff.

When creating an account, a username is required. This will be used for the public leaderboard, for those users who are most active on the site. You can make this username as generic as you wish.

No marketing, campaigning or other information will be sent as a result of registering on this site.

The site and its database are operated by LCC's technical partner, CycleStreets Ltd, a not-for-profit social enterprise (company no. 06948959) working to increase cycling based in Cambridge and with whom we have a long relationship. As per the above, CycleStreets will not make any use of user registration data except to operate the site as described above.

Data is solely processed on servers in the UK.

The site optionally requests a Borough so that you can choose to associate your activity with that Borough, encouraging them to compete for the most activity.

Data about cycle infrastructure you submit will be made available to TfL and thence others as public domain data. All such cycling-related data sent to TfL will not in any way be associated with a user account.

If you have any questions on use of personal data, please do contact us.
